The Developer
I was already fascinated of technology back in elementary school. That was on the one hand, of course, the computer and all the things you can do with it, but I was also interested in how that stuff actually works behind the scenes. So, I started with the electric circuit, the simplest and most fundamental thing you can begin with. I tried to do a lot of things, first I played with some LEDs and switches and later I went further to more complex circuits with capacitors and other electronic components.
After some time, I lost my interest in "hardware" and I began dealing with programming.
The software that hides behind Markers App is written completely by myself. I learned Objective-C out of books and podcasts, so it was sometimes quite difficult and it took a very long time, but finally, we got it ready for the App Store and I hope that I could implement all the features as you expect it.
In Fall, I'll begin studying informatics at Saarland University (it's in the west of Germany). During my studies I will, of course, continue working on Markers App to make it even better! I'm looking forward to a great future for both, me and our app and I'm excited about all the things that are yet to come. I really can't wait to see the rest of our planned features implemented in Markers!
The Designer
I've been dreaming to have an own company for a long time now, although I'm not older than 19 years. I always wanted to sell something. But what? I started designing some websites and other things. But Apple was the reason I had a new idea. They had introduced the iPad in january 2010 and at that moment I thought: Let's make an iPad app.
We already had a good idea, as we thought. Unfortunately the first iPad we bought wasn't mine. I couldn't wait to have an iPad on my own. Now I'm completely satisfied with my iPad and it's everywhere I go. And since a few weeks our own app is on my iPad, which always makes me smile.
Primarily, my tasks are to design the app and everything which has to be looking good. Moreover I want to provide you a nice user guidance and I'm the one who is in the marketing section of our young company. All the products I use must have an accurate and aesthetic design. I love things that have this kind of design and hopefully I have accomplished that in our app - though there's too little time sometimes.
2011, I graduated and now I'm on my way to prepare all the things I need to apply at university to become an industrial designer. I've a lot of plans with Splodge and hopefully this study helps me to make them real.
